Meet the Inner Light Chiropractic Team
Hi! I am Anna Derhak and I am the office manager for Dr. Russ. As a mother of two young girls, I cannot express how important chiropractic care is to keep myself healthy as well as my girls. They have never suffered any major infections or illnesses and they both have been adjusted since birth. The reason why they have been adjusted from birth is because I understand the impact of how the nervous system works (it controls everything in the body) and without regular chiropractic adjustments, this complex system of nerves starts to deteriorate from different stresses in the environment and can cause breakdown of all the different tissues in the body (from the pancreas to the heart). I myself am a nutritionist and have a passion for what whole foods can do for the body as well. It is important not only to keep your whole body healthy by exercise and getting adjusted regularly, but also by what you put into it.
Michelle joined the Inner Light Chiropractic team as a Chiropractic Assitant in January of 2006, with the opening of the clinic!
She enjoys seeing how people change once they start going through their chiropractic care, and going out to the community educating the public on the importance of taking care of your subluxation.
Michelle is doctor Russell’s youngest sister. She enjoys shopping and watching baseball, and cheering on the doctor’s softball team.
She just recently moved to Rogers with her sister, other brother, and their friend. She attends Redeemer Covenant Church in Brooklyn Park.
Welcome. My name is Penny Mattson, I joined the team November 2009, as Dr. Derhak's chiropractic assistant. I first was a patient for over a year before joining the staff.
I had a spinal fusion to correct a curvature of the spine in 1968. I have lived with chronic back pain most of my life. I was referred by a friend to see Dr. Derhak. I was due for another spinal cortisone shot, but thought I would try the consultation offered to me. I was educated on the working of the spinal nervous system, and decided I needed to go through the intensive care visits and then progress to wellness care.
I no longer have needed spinal cortisone shots, and no longer need the daily pain pills I have taken for years. Your life can change too, and that is our goal to reach out to educate you and to help you achieve wellness.
I retired in 2007 after 40 years working in healthcare, and I am now enjoying my part-time job. My husband and I enjoy time spent at our cabin in Wisconsin. I love travel, photography, my grandchildren and southern gospel music. I look forward to serving you.
